Have you ever visited the National Gallery of Victoria in St. Kilda Road, Melbourne?

If you haven’t been there, you will be very surprised to find so many wonderful works of art.  Some are worth millions of dollars.  Some paintings and other art works were bought a long time ago, others are new to the gallery.

There are also some special exhibitions in some parts of the gallery. One of these is ‘The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gautlier:From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk’.  If you like fashion, you will love this exhibition.

There is also a special display called ‘Golden Mirro Carousel’ by Carsten Holler. You can sit on this special carousel.  It is amazing! We did not know that art can be more than paintings and statues! Did you know that a chair can be a piece of art? A dress can be art?

Did you  know that art can also involve smells? In the garden, there is an art work called ‘Hyper-Natural: Scent from Design to Art’ where you can stand near it and smell the unusual scents.
